    Captain America 2 poster reveal...

Very Blah...just like Cap's costume in this one.

Also, I think someone at Marvel forgot Cap's shield is indestructible, so exactly how is it full of scratches?

    You can't scratch vibranium.

April 4th? So they aren't holding out for the patented Marvel May debut? That seems odd.

Is Winter Soldier's arm made of Vibranium? Maybe that's why there are scratches?

          >I think someone at Marvel forgot Cap's shield is indestructible, so exactly how is it full of scratches

I suspect that's the teaser.... they show something impossible and shocking, given the setting and the viewer thinks "Oh no! HOW could this happen!" and goes to see the flick to find out. I saw another review with similar concerns:

....which seems kinda weird that we KNOW what the deal is.... it's the "shock cover" movie equivalent.... and yet it STILL rankles folks.

Anyhoo.... time to nerd it up a bit:

          >You can't scratch vibranium.

The shield is a vibranium/adamantium meteoric alloy, and I don't know if it's ever been explicitly explained how it was coloured but the argument could be made that, while the shield is invulnerable the paint isn't.

It's also been stated that a powerful enough fusion drill could scratch the shield, and that Dr Doom, powered by the cosmic might of the Beyonder can break it. In theory, something that affected the molecular cohesion could also affect it.

Yeah, I was thinking the scratches are the remanants of the paint coming off.
