    George Perez Goes BOOM! Exclusive

Too bad that Marvel and DC have fostered a working environment where an industry giant like George Perez signs an exclusive elsewhere...

Modern DC and Marvel were both partially built on George's shoulders. Hell, look at how DC is pushing Cyborg! Yet they force him to look for work elsewhere. Pathetic. Good for him on going where he is appreciated, though!

I was just going to post this. All the more reason for me to go to the Baltimore Comic Con. I've been preaching about the show for a while here...but do you really need anything else if you are a Perez fan??!!?? It's also a great Comic Book show to actually find comics. Not an "Experience" that is peddled by Wizard and San Diego Comic Con. Get your tickets people. September 7th and 8th.
"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
      The beauty that surrounds them
      Isn't it a pity".

I read the article on Comicbookresources this morning and kind of disappointed that there wasn't a fit for him at DC or Marvel. I agree that a lot of the characters I don't recognize anymore, and that was one reason I stepped away from Marvel a few years ago.
I hope George' health stays good and we get years more of his creativity.
Do you guys have any thoughts as the kind of book you would like to see him create? He is going to draw with a lot of detail regardless but I dont want to see him exhaust himself with a team book.
I'm personally not big on "street level", or medieval characters. I'm more of a cosmic guy, so that would be good for me, or a high-tech scientist (like a good guy Lex Luthor). I hope he thrives in the new environment. I'll be supporting his new book when ready.
