I'm aware it's no longer being published, but it's far from gone. I have tons of back issues and tpbs saying otherwise.
Some of Superman's greatest moments have him bearded. "Superman Under The Red Son" from the sixties, and the Justice League episode "Hereafter" partially inspired by it.
