Just want to point out that the animated movie based on the Lego Batman 2 game is now out. We picked it up this week, and it's very well done. The animation is above most CGI-animation you'll see on TV...sometimes you'll forget these are little Lego people you are looking at. If you've played the game, it follows the storyline and recreates the non-playable scenes, while fleshing the story out.
There are plenty of little in-jokes for adults to get, but it's totally accessible to kids, making it a fun family movie night for us geeks. With so many super hero stuff being too extreme for them nowadays, it's nice to see stuff like this coexist with it.
Our copy from Wal-Mart came with a Lego Clark Kent min-figure, with his shirt half opened to reveal Superman's "S" shield. Not sure if all versions come with this.
I recommend picking this up! What other movie will give you Danny Elfman's Batman score mixed with John William's Superman theme?
Chris
