    Why does Superman even need a cape for?

    I know it's his baby blanket and all, lol.

    But I was watching the Man of Steel trailer on TV this morning, my sister was passing by, and said...

    Why does an omnipotent being has the need to wear a cape?

    Is it pure ego? Pretentiousness? Definitely not needed for flight, in fact, that would drag him down, he'd be faster without a cape, plus all that cape flapping in flight must drive Superman nuts, especially with his super hearing and all, lol.

    She just had me thinking, damn her, lol.

              Plus when he's flying super fast,you know it's him. If he didn't have the cape,he'd just be a blue blur. This way,he's now a red and blue blur.

                                              my first thought was Mikey's quite about the Clark Kent clothes, then I thought of the incredibles riff on capes, but here is another

                                              without the cape he looks like any other flying hero so know one would know to say Look up in the sky it's superman
