Urban says Dredd sequel could still happen

Nothing official yet. But apparently it's being looked at since the movie did exceptionally well on DVD. I saw it on DVD and thought it was really, really good. I would love to see a sequel. Here's the story.

I hope they manage to do it somehow but methinks it's most likely dead....

      Hmmmm....

Something like this will NEVER die. If the Stallone film couldn't kill it....

But more importantly, Dredd is a big enough name that eventually SOMEBODY will scoop it up for a flick. Might not even be an American company. (He's still pretty popular across the pond, after all....)

I haven't heard about the "Judge Minty" film for a whiule. THAT'S something I've been looking forward to.

The Dark Judges would be a good go-to, especially if they were willing to go as over the top with the mayhem as the last film did. There are SO MANY things that would make for a good movie, especially since the 2000AD comics themselves were so cinematic. "Call Me Kenneth" would be a good one too, or the Cursed Earth.... but that's just 'cos I'd like to see the Land Raider in action. I wouldn't mind seeing a completely NEW bad guy too. MaMa wasn't bad; but she was more cyberpunk than most Dredd stories.
