    Professionaly Graded Comic Books (CGC)

What are your thoughts on the whole CGC professional grading system and having comic books sealed in plastic holders?

I think they look neat, but don't like the idea of not being able to flip through the book. I bought a couple of Spiderman comics that were graded in the holder, because I like the cover art and it displays nicely on the wall. I even sent a couple of my own books to get graded, one of them was Amazing Spiderman 300, just to see how they graded. I like the ones I have, but I don't think I would bother with them anymore.

What's the point of having a comic book if you can't look through it or read it.

Yeah, I personally don't see the point, unless you want to buy or sell a high grade "key" book. For mid or low grade books or moderate value books, I'd never recommend grading. The only exception would be if you wanted to display a particular book, but even then there are other options.
