Various online sources are reporting that legendary Silver Age comics creator Carmine Infantino has died.Infantino, born in Brooklyn, New York on May 24,1925, was a major force in the creation of the Silver Age of comic books. "When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
    The beauty that surrounds them
    Isn't it a pity".

Gone but not forgotten. Not only a good artist but a very good editor.

I loved his DC art. Even his much-maligned work on "The Flash" during the Trial era. I never thought he was a good fit at Marvel though (Spider-Woman, Nova, Star Wars...)
Some of the most innovative stuff at DC during the 60s and 70s came under his watch as publisher...

Great classic art style and visionary. I was never a big fan, but I gots mass respect for his work and his contribution.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

Big fan of his growing up - practically weaned on those classic DC comics he drew. He'll be missed.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

One of the last truly important foundation pieces of the industry.

His Adam Strange stuff was amazing, but I think my favorite work was the oddball Strange Sports Stories in B&B. Also his "pointing fingers" panel insets, running Flash, and Elongated Man.
