I have to say the Perez lineup is a classic, but I really do like the "Mighty Avengers" lineup,

If we're talking the Sub-Mariner, I'd put him and The Hulk on the team. I always thought that Captain America needed someone to trade war stories with. Kinda like Alan Scott and Jay Garrick. I'd go with Hank as Ant-Man or as Yellow Jacket rather than as Giant Man. Kinda redundant with The Hulk. I'd ditch the whole brother-sister thing with Pietro and Wanda. They could be with The Beast over in X-Men anyway. Of course Ms. Marvel could be switched out for the Black Widow.

for usage in an AVENGERS line-up, ergo my much recognized line-up:

1) SPIDER-MAN
2) HULK
3) WOLVERINE

6) SPIDER-WOMAN (DREW)
7) SHE HULK
8) LUKE CAGE
9) SILVER SURFER
10) GHOST RIDER

I mean, if its the X-Men we're talkin' about---I'm fair and will only use those Marvellers
born with "X-tra" powers--- but I've been under the impression that, in theory,
ANY one could be in the Avengers---and, of course, the reason I picked the ten
heroes above was because the rule was I could only pick ten -- and at least 8 of them
seem to be the characters that, again and again were cited as the "coolest" in the
Marvel U above all the others----- and you HAVE to have at least two females there
so why not double up on Spider-Man and the Hulk (the 2 most popular characters in the
MU)?

I know my lineup will never happen---but I know that if was forced to buy an AVENGERS
comicbook---THAT'S the lineup I'd want....almost as importantly--- if I was to SELL
an AVENGERS comicbook (i.e. invest my own time & money into it)...thats the lineup
I'd want as well.

No....it's supposed to be what team would you pick based on who has been an Avenger in the past. Who works best in a team dynamic...that sort of thing. Most of your list DID consist of people who have been Avengers at one point or another though...except for Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider.

Yup Sub-Mariner belonged to both of those teams (in that order) but he did join the Avengers later on at Cap's request. He was part of the team when they had Hercules and Black Knight on the team, if I recall.
