Actually I'd swap out Yellowjacket, Hulk and Black Panter for Giant Man, Swordsman and Mantis. I always liked those last 2 for some reason.

My Avengers

I'm going to make mine just one big sausage fest:

For some reason, none of the female characters ever really kept my interest. The closest was probably Wasp. Now, keep in mind that I haven't read the Avengers since about 1990 or so. I'm really basing this list on guys from the 70s and 80s that I liked.

I agree that the Hulk should only be a honorary member. Also, I think I'm in the minority, but I never really liked Thor as a superhero. I guess it's mostly because I always felt that Marvel never "created" him, and just pulled him from Norse mythology (same with Hercules and Greek mythology). They never seemed like real Marvel characters to me.
