It's just you. Video games take hours to get through, with tons of little fiddly plot points you have to remember/parse out. Comics replay the same few stories over and over in a limited loop. (12 months equals about 150 pages.) If they were REALLY writing for the video game crowd they'd write stories with a definite beginning, a selection of events locked into a definite chronology that shows some kind of development/progression for the characters and/or setting, and a definite end.
