The Serpent of Doom was partially based on an old Norse Legend about Thor: "His greatest enemy is Jormungand, the Midgard Serpent. At the day of Ragnarok, Thor will kill this serpent but will die from its poison."

Wow, I did not expect that. In the Molecule Kid episode, the flashback to them taking down Molecule Man, they used the EMH character models. That was pretty damn cool.

Been watching the show and pretty much will echo what I said earlier, while it's a departure from the "classic" feel of EMH it's still a lot of fun.

                Doomstroyer sounds awesome.

I'm not sure I've ever seen Attuma in animation. Actually, I'm not sure I've read Attuma in more than one or two comics. Should be interesting.

Definitely. Guess we know what happened to him after Serphent of Doom.

And Attuma previously appeared in Fantastic Four: WGH. That was a great episode.

Ah. I missed a lot of that series. I'd see the same 3 or 4 episodes over and over.

Attuma was also on the HB 60's FF cartoon, with a different name, IIRC. The one where Namor is blue and called Triton.

EMH is so hard to watch. Every line is snark attitude, even Hulk's now, which is sacrilege to me.

Assemble was really well written, but it looks like Dini/Timm level material compared to EMH, which is in that 80's GI Joe level of character.

Perfect for kids, but a huge step back from where Marvel 90's and Dini/Timm brought the field.

I love Teen Titans, though. It's permanently altered my perception of Cyborg.

what a horrible looking and written cartoon. Nothing like taking a big step down following EMH.

"Depth Charge" Pretty good. I enjoyed it. I thought they worked a little too hard trying to give the Hulk an 'emotional' story but it mostly worked.

I loved how they handled the water; the look of it and how it showed the force of punches and impacts.

I thought the underwater armor, aka "Rubber Ducky," was cool. It could have used some blue or something to further visually differentiate it from the regular armor.

I detest that show. They act more like villains than heroes. The morals in that show are awful.

"Doomstroyer" lived up to my expectations. Awesome and epic episode. Great story and action and nice humorous moments.

Doom and Loki's characterizations were both spot on. [possible minor SPOILERS --> ] Doom is defeated by his concern for his people and Loki manipulates even Doom.

I loved the response to Hulk retching at retreating from the Doomstroyer: "Think of it as Smashing backwards!"

My favorite episode of the whole series.

(P.S. In the previous post, I meant I don't like Teen Titans Go!, the new comedy series. I enjoyed the 2003 Teen Titans show. I wasn't a huge fanatic, but I liked it.)
