Superfriends analogs/homage characters on Young Justice

I know the show has been canceled, but I think it's neat that all these years later callbacks are still being made to the Superfriennds "made for TV' characters.
characters. Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere.
    Tye Longshadow, homage toApache Chief
Virgil Hawkins=Obviously Static Shock was a comic creation but he's the homage to Black Vulcan here
    Tsunami homage to Samurai
Eduardo Dorado homage to El Dorado.

why can't they just use the actual characters? WB owns HB anyway. They did this on JLU, too.

It sucks they are cancelling this show it has acutally given rise to soooooo many characters we never get to see on tv or in movies from the comics

Yep, lots of nods to SF. I enjoy the show, but I do think it's overly complicated at times. I hope the creators wrapped everything up in a nice little bow before the plug was pulled.
