Last thing I heard, Kevin Feige said they were still working on a solo Black Widow film.

Me too, but I guess not. They're also working on a DTV Iron Man anime film: Rise of Technovore, also starring War Machine, Nick Fury, Hawkeye, Widow, and Punisher.

          The Future of Marvel Animation:

In 2006, Lionsgate announced that it was greenlighting animated films based on the characters of Black Panther and Captain America.

In 2007, vice president of creative development at Marvel Animation, Craig Kyle said that Marvel Animation was considering producing a sequel to Ultimate Avengers 2.

In 2008, Kyle confirmed that a solo animated Captain America film and a sequel to The Invincible Iron Man were still being looked by Marvel.

In 2012, it was announced Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is a direct-to-video feature which, like the Marvel Anime adaptation, is produced by Madhouse in collaboration with Marvel. The feature is being written by Brandon Auman and directed by Hiroshi Hamasaki. The feature revolves around Iron Man as he fights against Ezekiel Stane who has developed a new bio-technology. The film will be released in Japan in Spring 2013.

          2012

Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United. Adrian Pasdar will reprise his role as Tony Stark from Ultimate Spider-Man and the Iron Man Anime.

In 2012, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Marvel Studios announced they are working on an animated film version of Big Hero 6.

The president of Disney Channel Worldwide Gary Marsh announced a new Iron Man series is in development.
The 24-year company veteran opens up to THR about toppling Nickelodeon, finding a TV home for "The Avengers" and having so many kids on set: "It's the parents who really have to be parents."

Unfortunately, Disney just gutted their animation department. The CGI studios are pretty much all that's left.

While it might take a few episodes to get used to it, CGI IM series doesn't sound that bad, GL has spectacular animation. Of course I just remembered that IM:AA was also CGI...which now leads me to thinking that it might be a third season of AA. Every commercial just said it [Season 2] was the 'season finale.' Of course, I could also be completely off base here and am just rambling nonsense.

MY concern isn't so much for the method; but that they let go so many experienced animators. Odds are you're gonna see something produced by newer folks. You CAN do some really good stuff CGI, if you're so inclined:

....but our stuff tends to be flat and static. CGI is great for things with a lot of detail, with a lot of motion, rolling trolley shots, changing angles, etc. Our tv stuff is filmed just like line animation; straight on shots, minimal design.... The Disney features have used it to good effect combining it with classic techniques, but those are the folks who're gone now.
