Because it's pretty much the only way to get every episode and it's no longer being made, I'm guessing. There's another DVD out there for like $5, but it only has a handful of episodes on it. Plus there's a ton of extras. It just seems like people get crazy with those prices once something's no longer being made, like Dark Horse's small reprints of Russ Manning's Tarzan comics are like $75, when you can get a huge hardbound volume with a lot more stories for about $30.

I wish they would create a "DVD-on demand" system. (Legit system ) Order your dvd of something that is impossible to find, and its sent. To much good stuff out there thats impossible to find or hasnt seen a dvd release at all.

I made the mistake of passing this up when it was out. I even saw it marked down at Half-Price Books and still passed. I'm an idiot sometimes.

Small time shows make it to DVD and if they go out of print-forget it! Black Scorpion from SyFy was selling for hundreds of dollars for a while. It was expensive to get tho wasn't very popular when on TV.

That's not the complete series...it's only a handful of episodes from Season 1....

ahh. you are correct. a purchaser stated, "FYI This is not a complete series set, like the last release. The DVD contains the first 7 episodes of Season 1 (while the box advertises 5)"

though I have to say I only have 2 Isis episodes and that is MORE than enough to get my nostalgia fix and see joanna in an otherwise horrible show.

I always found it strange Joanna Cameron is not on the documentary. It's everyone else, but her if IIRC.

I was lucky enough to get the dvd when it came out.

The whole series can be found on torrents - kat & thepiratebay

I had no idea this was selling for so much. I picked it up when it first came out because my daughter was really into Isis. I don't think I paid more than $20 for it.

I remember but can live without it. In doing a few searches I can also see the price is probably affected by the fact very little of it is available for legit streaming anywhere. Hulu i sone option as previoulsy mentioned and vudu also has the first season for purchased digitally, but your'e not saving as much as $1.99 per ep/42.99 for the season.

I wish they would have gone into more detail about the construction of the costume and jewelry pieces in the Special Features section.
