    GL cartoon

The latest episode of the GL cartoon aired today and was excellent. The Ant-monitor zapped Hal into an alternate steam punk universe where he met a character named Gil Broome and there was a reference to a caped GL with a red shirt. Very cool for an old-timer GL fan like me. very reminiscent of the kind of Stories Broome/Kane/ Schwartz told in the 60s.

Lot of cool GL action against large steampunk robots. It airs again Sunday at 9 am central time on Cartoon Network.

A great episode with a nice twist (the 'bad guy' wasn't really the bad guy) and a cool mention of Alan Scott. Though the episode I'm looking forward to the most is the one involving Sinestro. Based on the episode syopsis, it seems like he's the evil Sinestro.

The show has a really got Hal's personality down. He makes two or three selfless, heroic acts that might cause some characters to think twice but Jordan just instinctively does the heroic thing with no regard to his safety. And he's not boring or mundane. Hal is the antithesis of the feet-of-clay protagonist.

^Yes, yes and YES! Great episode, and great series! I still get a real Star Trek TOS vibe off of this series, from the Kirk-like Hal to encountering a world similar to Earth's past.

The hints at the red shirted GL with the cape, and the name "Gil Broome" really brought a smile to my face.

Young Justice was okay, but man, could that plot get anymore convoluted? At this point I think the X-Files was easier to follow!!!

After not watching for the end of last season, I tuned in and was pleasantly surprised. It was a great episode all around. After finding the show not bad but kind of blah before, this really made me want to watch more.

I had no clue what was going on in Young Justice.

I thought "Steam Lantern" was a fantastic piece of storytelling and artistically beautiful! I certainly do hope we get to see more of that world since they're now in our universe. I think that the manufacturerer's are missing a golden opportunity by NOT making toys to go along with this series, 'cause I'd snap them up in a heartbeat!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
