They're sorta the "Internal Affairs" of the Green Lantern Corps and VERY creepy looking. The Guardians are combining elements of the GL Corps and the Manhunters. Geoff Johns always does a bang up job with this title IMO.

So is this in line with the Gaurdians re-writing the book of OA ? So like they created the new Ion, & then were able to make the Rings "Kill" so to speak,.. is this the 3rd upgrade of the Lanterns ? ... Man, gotta go to the Shop this weekend.

The Guardians are up to the 2nd law...the Alpha Lanterns were created to police the Green Lantern Corps...for example Amon Sur (a member of the Sinestro Corps) was killed by Laira while he was surrendering. Thus, she's up on charges and the Alpha Lanterns wil investigate and render punishment if found guilty. John Stewart was offered membership as an Alpha Lantern but he passed (lucky for him...the reconfiguration process looked brutal!). It looks like the batteries are part of the actual Alpha Lantern's chest and supposedly they get 2 rings.Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!Comment

Interesting to see where this ends up...obviously the upcoming colour wars...but the initial expressions of the ordinary lanterns look like they're not happy about it.ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF IT
