    Project Superpowers

Anyone pick up the #0 issue? Whadja think? Not bad IMO...it's been decades since some of these characters saw the light of day. Nice to see them getting their due again.

It seemed pretty promising. I'm going to keep reading and keep my fingers crossed.

I'm not sure who's doing the rest of the story, but this is Steve Sadowsky's only issue. To bad, too. I grew to appreciate him on JSA and have missed his work.
It's was great to see these characters, I'm not sure about the setup. Fighting Yank betrays his friends? Doesn't sit well.
          Hey! Check out the pictures.

                    Don't know if this helps....

The Flame ("Wonderworld Comics") and Samson ("Fantastic Comic") are from Fox Comics.
The Face was published by Columbia Comics.

The Scarab is the reworked Blue Beetle (because of copyright held by others)...The 'Devil is basically the original Daredevil (again copyright issues). The American Spirit is supposed to represent the patriotic heroes that they "can't" use...like Captain America, Uncle Sam, The Shield, etc. (Although you can make out their silhouettes in the character sketch in the back of the book)

                        Definitely promising.

But I thought #0 was not a good introduction. The writing was very heavy for an intro.

The scripting did not make it easy to recognize the characters.
