Super Friends Season One

I can't sit through Superfriends it's torture now...I have no nostalgia for it what's so ever.....and I use to love it as a kid.

I like Challenge of the Superfriends and the Super Powers series, and of course the Filmation Batman, which ran circles around anything HB put out at the same time.
Marvel's cartoons always seemed better to me though. Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends and The Incredible Hulk remain the two best series ever IMO. Spidey had practically every super-hero and villain guest star at some point.

I'll be honest,I never liked either one. I always viewed The Wonder Twins in the same light as Wendy and Marvin. The only difference being The Wonder Twins had superpowers.

See, I like the Wonder Twins. I do think it's lame that Zan couldn't change into any of the basic elements: water, fire, air, earth.

I guess the reason I like the Twins is because I remember seeing "All-New" SF before seeing the original version. I may have seen a few of the Wendy/Marvin episodes in re-runs, but I saw Zan and Janya when they debuted.

I did (and still do) have a set of SF sheets and wondered who and the heck these goofy kids were.

A while back I was watching all the different versions of the Super Friends, all were enjoyable until I got to season 1. While I remembered it as something I loved when I was a kid I could barely watch the episodes today. I still haven't finished watching all of season 1, it's just too hard. I think part of the problem is that the episodes were too long, especially compared to all the later seasons. Yes the Twins are lame now but back then they were cool and I liked also Wendy, Marvin and Wonder Dog.
