When an explosive event shatters the lives of the X-Men and takes away their mentor, the beaten heroes walk away from it all.

But then they're given a rare glimpse into the future, and see a world in utter ruin, ruled by giant destructive robots. A world that spiraled out of control because the X-Men had given up.

So now the most legendary of all X-Men takes the lead - Wolverine! Reuniting these broken heroes, Wolverine embarks on the ultimate mission - to prevent de world's destruction.

To rescue us from ourselves. To save the future.

Yeah, it does look a lot like Evolution.

So, they've ditched Xavier?

Any word on when this premieres? Is it going to be on Fox or Kids WB?

Doesn't look bad to me. Surprised they went with the White Queen though. Her sole purpose is to be a sex object, right? I guess they did use her in the 80s X-Men toon pilot though.

I never got to watch Evolution much, but it was oceans better than the over-melodramatic, sloppily animated 90s X-Men toon.

Wolverine and the X-men...there is no I in Team.........Here's the Pitch: Hey like um you know we can do like ummm remember Josie and the Pussycats well we can do the same but put Wolverine as the Lead Dude and have the X-men like show up every other episode it would be most righteous! and sell many toys! uhhuh........

It took a few tries at Evolution before I would say I kinda liked it. It had mostly throw away episodes, some OK but there were a few that just Rocked - My favorite was the one that featured Angel, second was the Captain America episode.

Oh goody. Another "Let's ***** out Wolverine some more just because we can" Cartoon.
Though I will be checking it out, I am disappointed by Marvel in marketing this as another spotlight on Wolverine. No wonder kids only like Wolverine, That's all they're exposed to.

I saw the trailer...it looked pretty good! They're starting with Sen.Kelly...and leading into the "Days of Future Past" Storyline. I'll check out a few Episodes.

Hmmmm....

I find stuff like this interesting: they're going back almost thirty years for storylines, instead of sticking with what's current in the books.

That's what I've always figured. That, and the older stuff is the iconic stuff: everyone recognizes those characters and strylines. Not too many books from the last 15 years have really made a lasting impact.

Yep. It's Because Wolverine Sells. Thats why the Movies centered around him too. The Character Wolverine has most deffinatly replaced Captain America & even Hulk in the Top 5 of comicbook characters Kids Know, & like today.
Unless ofcourse the childs parents are into comicbook characters & were able to mold them into what they want.

^ I agree with you....for an "anti-hero" Wolverine has been shoved down everyone's throat with merchandise and a kijillion series,cross-overs and cameos the last 20 years.
