    less value for imports

I always found it fascinating that people will pay higher prices for varient covers on comics, but will shun import versions of comics. For instance uk versions of classic bronze and silver age comics will not resell as well as their domestic versions. What is the reasoning behind that?

one reason is they technically were reprints of a story that was done in the us earlier. Often the comics were a year or more behind. Along the same lines there is less market for a vintage 2nd or 3rd printing than an earlier one

And the varient cover craze is the 90's and beyond so the comparison is a bit scewed.
