Finally got a chance to start watching the Shazam DVD and have been pleasantly surprised. I loved the show as a kid, but after going back and watching other shows I liked as a kid and being disappointed, I didn't have high hopes for it.

While the production values are limited and the show is formulaic, it stands up much better than most of the Saturday more fare of that time period. It's quite watchable.

be sure to watch the episodes using the special features option. if you don't, the "moral" scene won't play at the end.
they chopped them off the main section for whatever reason and clearly the master prints were lost because the "morals" are 2nd gen VHS quality. quality aside they are a MUST when watching SHAZAM

Let's do it! Last year's con was far better than I expected, and this one seems to be even better already. Great guest list. This con is growing quickly.

I'll have to check out Bostwick's website. I missed a chance to meet him in Metropolis, IL several years back and regretted it since.

Count me in too. I will not miss an opportunity to meet Jackson, period. I'm glad I read this cause that's just a little more than an hour drive. I ended up getting a crappy quality autograph from his website and would like to purchase a better one in person and maybe get a photo. Tom and Chris, we'll make it an MM gathering for sure.

I'll pass on purchasing this DVD set. There are too many other DVDs on my list and you have to have priorities(Dark Knight Returns pt 1 and 2), maybe down the road in a few months. Too much cheesiness.
