Rebooted Spiderman to be superior Spider-Man

Well, it looks like spidey is getting a make over and marvel will make him darker.
    Read about it here...

Then let me know your comments.
I think you all know what mine are right now.

This **** has got to STOP. I am so SICK of these egotistical writers and artists thinking they have to reinvent the wheel just to leave "their mark" on a character. And we get more of Humberto Ramos' fantastic art...people with weird proportions...forearms bigger around than their waists...huge feet and bulbous fingertips...YAY!

Looks like they took the "Ultimate" cartoon design and added ninja toe boots with claws.

This sounds like this may be a stunt, ala "AzBats" to get you to appreciate Peter as Spider-Man. They hinted that there may be a new Spider-Man. "Superior" doesn't sound much like Peter Parker.

Either way, that is one dumb title for a comic book.

I think Marvel has a typo in there. That is the "Inferior" Spider-man. I'm sorry but "Nolan-izing" Marvel's flagship hero is a monster mistake. For all the hoopla, hype, and big sales this initial issue will see, it will likely die off quickly and people will begin asking for their favorite hero back. Which Marvel will do and explain this garbage away like they do every crappy story concept. "It was just a bad dream..." Yeah! Kind of like the comic industry for past couple of decades.

I do so agree with the 3 of you. Wish DC and Marvel would listen to the real fans.

Yeah, the story sounds bad enough, but I swear if I have to look at one more Humberto Ramos Spider-Man...here he his: The Amazing Jellybeanhead Sausagefingers!!

Seriously...what the hell is up with those fingers?! How does this guy keep getting work?!

Ramos' art is an acquired taste...and I never really acquired it, honestly. He has a style that he adheres to very well, but it's not a style I myself care for much. He's going to have a hard time with the "emotionless eye" edict in that "Superior" style guide shown. As you can see above, his Spidey was almost always "winking".

In hindsight, this sounds A-LOT like what Stracynski tried to do with his whole "spider totem" storyline not that long ago. I can't honestly keep up with how many times they've changed Spidey in the last decade. I know he has more costumes than a Batman toyline.

Yeah. I guess my tour with Spidey stops at 700. I don't even want no part of a Wolverine/Spiderman hybrid here.
Spidey was liked because he was an average teen age kid that grew into an adult whose personal life was what many people could relate to him. Now, I don't know what this is and I don't even care.

Me next. My name is Shane and I have not read a comic book in over 24 months now. The struggle gets easier everyday but there are still moments of temptation; however, thanks to the great folks at DC and Marvel I am able to resist the urge with greater ease after every reboot.

I must have sensed the disturbance in the force early. I dropped out over 4 years ago when I had let my mail subscriptions lapse. I was increasingly disgruntled with the direction of almost every book I read. I regret that both DC and Marvel have seemingly abandoned their former fanbase, but in a way they've done me a favor. After much teeth-gnashing and grumbling I've come to realize that MY versions of the characters are now no longer being published, so I can mostly ignore what is going on in the monthlies and enjoy TPB, back issues, and TwoMorrows output.

My name is Dwayne, and not too long ago, I was just like you. I sat in a corner, rocking back and forth, sucking my thumb. The Hulk was Red. Nick Fury was Black. Captain America was dead, and Spider-Man was making deals with the Devil. I kept telling myself over and over. "It's not real. It's not real. It's not real." But it was real. Fortunately, I got help. You can too. There are people out there just like you who make believe it's the 1970's every day, where our beloved superheroes stay in their own books, fighting crime and selling Hostess fruit pies. The Hulk is green, Nick Fury's a white guy, and Captain America's doin' just fine. There are no Spider-Clones, and Norman Osborn is still the Green Goblin, not the head of S.H.I.E.L.D.
It's a happy place. A magical place. I rediscovered it, and I can help you find it too.

                            Welcome to our group!

Believe it or don't but Ramos has a graffiti anime style that appeals to teenagers not to older adults same with artist Scottie Young who did the Human torch comic a while back.....a lot of the teens today would rather see this or like Chris said something like the animated series......modern teens want their own version of Spiderman a teen that is like them now....not one from the past.......
