I guess J, but people joke about Superman and Batman, too. I in think a lot of cool stuff could be done with Aquaman, marine life and Atlantis that would translate to film better than to comics.

But then again I thought GL would work,lol.

Aquaman done right would be so kickass! I still love the Filmation version of him from the 60's...anytime I read Aquaman or played with my Mego version I always did the music and used that voice for him......

DC is missing the boat to make a badass serious version of him.....and Fook them for it...lol

Yeah, the Atlantis vs. Paradise Island was the best idea in Flash Point, to me. It's a shame it was kinda of wasted.

During an interview with the New York Post in November 2012, Man of Steel director Zack Snyder stated, “I don’t know how ‘Justice League’ is going to be handled. Honestly, I don’t. But ‘The Man of Steel’ exists, and Superman is in it. I don’t know how you’d move forward without acknowledging that,” and claimed that Warner Bros. expects him to "keep them on course" as regards to a potential cinematic universe.

In December 2012 Warner Bros. confirmed that Darkseid will be the main villain of the upcoming live action Justice League movie, set for release in Summer 2015.

They just don't know how to get things rolling. After 4 years of the JL/JLU cartoon DC could have transitioned to a Justice league film pretty easily if they had any kind of planning. but that was now what 5 years ago.

Starlin has admitted the character is influenced by Jack Kirby's Darkseid:

“Kirby had done the New Gods, which I thought was terrific. He was over at DC at the time. I came up with some things that were inspired by that. You'd think that Thanos was inspired by Darkseid, but that was not the case when I showed up. In my first Thanos drawings, if he looked like anybody, it was Metron. I had all these different gods and things I wanted to do, which became Thanos and the Titans. Roy took one look at the guy in the Metron-like chair and said : "Beef him up! If you're going to steal one of the New Gods, at least rip off Darkseid, the really good one!"

That makes sense. He does have a similar costume to Metron...down ot those weird eyebrow/wing thingies.
