so what hapopened to the scene where Steve goes and sees Peggy???

i thought there was supposed to be a scene in the deleted scenes of Avengers where Steve goes to vist a very old Peggy.

and let me just say that of all the deleted scenes on the Avengers disc, the man out of time scene was the best and should have been left in the movie

That would have been cool to see, But, Imho, I think It's a more personal part of Cap's life, and would best fit into a Captain America Film!

Agreed on the scene as it stands. It is a great scene, and sets up the waitress later on in the film.

Was the Peggy scene really filmed?

And if it was, I bet we see it in the special Blu-Ray before Avengers 2 hits.

Yes, Whedon said "I filmed a great and beautiful scene between Steve and Peggy....and then cut it out."

Evans also stated that Rogers' adjustment to the modern world, which was originally set to be included in The Avengers, would be better suited for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. So it might appear in that film.

If the "Man out of Time" (deleted scene on the Avengers Blu-Ray) had been in the actual film, it would have made a follow-up scene in Cap 2 even more meaningful.

The scenes with the waitress in the finished film had me guessing there was something with her on the cutting room floor. I too can see why it was cut, especially since Cap's scenes in the gym pick up exactly where the First Avenger epilogue/Avengers sneak peek left off. But as a big Cap fan, I wish they'd left this section in.

I didn't see it because they used her in the end credits, I just figured her seeing Cap unmasked made her realize he was a human being, I dunno. Never imagined she had a bigger part.
