Pretty good week for comics on DVD/TV

Not only does the Avengers DVD and the Dark Knight Returns Part I DVD come out tomorrow, but I noticed new episodes of the Green Lantern and Young Justice cartoons will air on The Cartoon Network Saturday. The CW (at least in my region) is re-running Justice League Unlimited episodes on Saturday mornings and the Hub is re-running Superman the Animated Series and Lois and Clark as well as Batman The Animated Series and Batman Beyond throughout the week. And of course there's the Avengers and Spider-Man cartoon on one of Disney's channels.

That's a whole lot of super-hero viewing. Too much even for me.

Feel the Superhero love!

Yep, it's a good year for comic-book characters. So psyched GL is returing (along with The Clone Wars. ), I've missed it. EMH continues to be the dominating force for animated series as last nights Code Red proved (which is now my favorite episode) and Ultimate Spider-Man is actually producing good episodes! And how awesome is it that The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 and The Avengers is being released on the same day; that's pretty epic!! So many superheroes, so little time.....but that doesn't mean I won't try to watch them all.

There's actually double that:

the Winter Soldier mystery arc gets finished next Sunday, then Hulk (finally) gets freed, Loki gets his revenge for his earlier defeat, Kang comes back and inadvertently creates The New Avengers, the Kree finally make their move in a 2-parter, then Galactus comes by to wrap things up. A lot to happen in 6 episodes, that’s for sure.

Still sad the show is getting replaced, but hopefully, Avengers Assemble will be just as good (I pray).

Didn't know there was more. I was just going by what was on the back of the DVD at Wal-Mart.

Don't forget, Avengers EMH Volume 5, Secret Invasion Came out too! I found it at Walmart today!
