Picked up the Blu ray this morning.
Will watch the documentaries, the gag reel and the deleted scenes later.

i picked up the sainsburys uk 2 disc exclusive blu ray ,same as the target exclisive in the usa ,wow it seems really light on special features ,this is the set with the exclusive 90 minute doc ,the docs ok , not great but with out it i would have felt even more short changed ,by the way the uk version has no yak track from joss

Several countries got it earlier, due to the staggered worldwide release dates of the theatrical version.

True, the UK version doesn't include Whedon's commentary.

Disney UK home entertainment spokesperson Lydia Rodrigues had this to say about the missing commentary:

'Our DLT (Digital Linear Tape, required to replicate the disc) had to be delivered one month earlier than that required for the US pressing. So we missed out. We wanted it too.'


But worst of all.... several European and Asian editions of the movie are censored on Blu Ray and DVD.... including the UK.
The blade jutting from Coulson's chest has been removed.

(This wasn't a cut requested by the BBFC, because they passed the film uncut for both cinema and home versions.)
