Thors new look for thor 2

As before, it's a fairly accurate interpretation of the Straczynski/Coipel relaunch costume.
Looks better in some shots than others.

But of course, a mere mortal cannot hope to fill the armour of the 6' 6", 640 lb God of Thunder!

Ive just flicked through the art of thor book ,and it looks like they are revisiting some of the early concept drawings from the first thor film this time around ,particularly page 18,19and 32 cape attachment ,tabard ,loincloth thing and even the braided hair ,id post pics from the book ,but i dont know how,the shame ,im sure one of you guys can do what i cant lol,i think it looks great ,marvel are really getting the hang of this film lark ,

He looks great, though I would have preferred a little hint of Thor's original color scheme (from the comic). Not canary yellow and bright blue, but a little less monochrome than this all-grey suit.
And yes, I would like to see the helmet back. A warrior needs his helmet!

The first movie was a lot of fun, so I'm looking forward to this one, too.

Besides...straight comic book look to film doesn't always translate well anyway.

I still can't figure out why they have decided to not use his helmet. When I think of Thor, I picture a metal helmet on his head.

Thor wearing a helmet for battle scenes would look silly on film for such a powerful being. The only time he wore it was for the ceremony in the beginning of the first film, it was dress attire...which was fine...but for battle scenes, well, Thor doesn't really need a helmet, he's all powerful, the helmet was a showy comic book theme, an all powerful being doesn't need bloody helmets...it's not like he's susceptible to concussions or anything, lol.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter, but I would like to see the helmet, even if its just sitting on a shelf or table somewhere in the film.

THOR has been one of my favorite of the MARVEL movies simply because I'm a huge Thor fan! What book is that from O:M? And for the record, I'm quite glad they stuck, largely, with Mjolnir's original incarnation and didn't get all fancy with it. Save that for Beta Ray Thor and his hammer, Stormbreaker...

Mine too! It's actually my favorite of all the pre-Avengers movies. The pictures are from The Art of Thor book. And me too; while all of those look good there's no other look that's Thors original hammer.
