Nothing I hate more than the wide acceptance of porners in geek circles.

The fact WB, Marvel and the studios do not sue over copyright infringement leaves themselves open to massive court rulings going against them. I know the argument as to why they can't, but it's a lie. If UFO films or one of those SyFy Channel prod companies did a rip so close to Marvel or DC that they were using the costumes, Disney and WB would sue tomorrow.

I still hope that someday WB will try an old fashion take on one of there characters and put alot of effort into its content.

A series of low budget well made films would beat those overproduced Batman films anyday. I guess they would never realise that though...

    >Why are those parodies always better costumed than the real deal from Warners??

The parodies HAVE to be identifiable as whatever they're parodying; otherwise it doesn't work. A "new" take from WB is exactly that, a new take.... a new version for a new medium. So there's a desire to take JUST ENOUGH of the original to make the name worthwhile, and completely rebrand the thing as a new property to facilitate new licensing, audience, whatnever.

    From AICN:
Axel Braun looks to taunt David E Kelley with his WONDER WOMAN
Hey folks, Harry here - Axel Braun dropped this shot of Kimberly Kane as Wonder Woman in his WONDER WOMAN XXX: AN AXEL BRAUN PARODY - and the subject line of the email was: "David E Kelley can Kiss My *** " - Axel tells us this is an exclusive debut - so... notes? How would you like to see a live action WONDER WOMAN handled? Can Hollywood ever get it right? Why, why not? Have to say - Kimberly Kane looks damn good here!

Ok, I'll give Arrow another try, just because you dig the shows I watch too...oh, and someone who criticizes Smallville, is OK in my book as well...

But to me, it's a clone of Smallville, which I never warmed up to it.

Those are exactly my types of shows too, and Arrow fits in perfectly with them. I consider it to be way better than Smallville. No episode of Smallville has made me feel the way an episode of Arrow has. I don’t know what episodes you’ve seen, but watch Damaged, Year's End, Trust but Verify, Betrayal, The Odyssey, and Dead to Rights, then say it’s just a Smallville clone.

yeah, I loved Smallville but there were definately plot holes the size of Saturn. the other thing that iritated the hell out of me was the blatant product placement. it got so bad at times that they literally did a commercial for some product or other during the plot of the show.

My wife and I have been catching up on Arrow on the DVR. As much as I loved Smallville, I have to say Arrow is so far, a much more satisfying and cohesive show. Smallville often had plot holes you could drive a mack truck through, and rushed story resolutions with little repercussions. Everything on Arrow has built from one episode to the next. It's a great ride.

^^yeah, those were the ones. most have them have returned already too, or will before seasons end. Dark Archer is actually a recurring character in his secret identity

It's like these hack producers are embarrassed to just name them Superman, Green Arrow, and Wonder Woman.

Besides, I'm not into 90210 crap...it's an automatic pass from me.

i loved Smallville. it did get tiresome at times, especially in the earlier years but once they got rid of Lana it really picked up.
Arrow is also really well done and while they might not be calling him Green Arrow yet, they have mentioned the name. he is also in costume every week and has already fought against some of the rogues and also allied with Deathstroke himself. Roy Harper has just been introduced as a recurring character too.
I don't know much about this Amazon show, but give it a chance before shooting it down.
