    DC Collections for winter/spring 2013

    http://www.dccomics.com/blog/2012/06...or-spring-2013

Some pretty good stuff, particularly for SUperman fans. I guess there's a movie coming out next year

    Garcia Lopez — SUperman hardback
    Superman vs. Shazam trade
    Superman vs. Zod TP
Death and Return of Superman Omnibus
    Archie Goodwin's Batman
Silver-age Wonder Woman and Metal Man Archives
JLA, SUperman Family, Sgt Rock and Strange Adventures Showcases
    Impulse TP
    Secret Origins TP
Jack Kirby Omnibus with Super Powers and Black Magic reprints (odd collection)
    Teen Titans Omnibus 3

DC really needs to do a Superman/Wonder Woman trade featuring the Tabloid story set during WWII on Earth II. Fantastic art.

It is (ALL-NEW COLLECTORS’ EDITION C-54). But considering how DC seems to want to push this Supes/WW union as the next big thing I'm surprised they didn't save it for a tie-in TPB on it's own, along with other Supes/WW team-ups from over the years.

I'm glad it's in there. i didn't bother to read the list of what was in the Lopez edition. Those are some pretty cool comics. No. 347 is one of my favorite Superman comics from the late 70s because of the Superman-Lois date, which Lopez illustrated so well. I don't remember anything else about the comic but that date scene. It takes a cue from "Superman: The Movie," but that's probably why I liked it so much as a kid. I think 301 has a cool fight with Solomon Grundy.

Thunderbolt, I would like to see more Archives, too. DC's been putting out about one a month lately, but from list it appears it will be slowing down. I only noticed 2 in the 4 month period, but I didn't read every word of the list. I'd really like to see more silver-age Superman and Batman.

The Secret Origins TP is a Silver Age book, too. Glad I waited on the Batman Inc hardback.

Oh, and I'd love to see the Silver Age Superman stuff continue along with the World's Finest stuff when it gets into that nutso alien period. Some of my favorites were reprinted in the 80 page giants of the 60's and I still own my dog eared copies from when I was a wee tot.
