Here it is...my Comic Holy Grail: Amazing Fantasy 15

If you read the other thread, then you know that I tracked this copy down and purchased it. Received it yesterday and it is a beauty. After inspecting it, I read it to my two younger sons who loved it and though it was so cool that they were holding the first appearance of Spider-man. As I was getting ready to take a picture, my youngest asked if he could hold it.

Congrats Derek. That is an awesome piece, and a great pic. Sharing it with your kids makes it that much more fun.

Oddly enough, there was a bit on Toy Hunter last night about AF #15. Yours is a MUCH nicer copy, by the way!

So very cool, congrats Derek! I like that it's not graded, for me, being able to touch the pages makes all the difference.

                      Thanks guys.

I saw that episode. Supposedly the "leading" Spider-man collector on the West coast. All I saw was primarily newer stuff, very little vintage.

The webmaker kit was WAY OVERPRICED. He bought that thing for $200 and should have bought it for $75-85.

The AF 15 was trashed. It wasn't in collectible condition at all...maybe a .5 if that good. They valued it at $2000 and there is no way, no how that book was worth that. It was still cool to see it on tv.

I really do like Toy Hunter...he's pretty knowledgeable about his stuff - and I love it when Spider-man or Mego items come up.

It was in a CGC case, but I removed it very carefully. I had to take it out and touch it and read it. My two younger boys got the biggest kick out of watching me take it out of the case.

It graded at Good plus (2.5), but I think it's better than that. Probably a 3.0 or 3.5.

I will probably re-submit it to CGC at some point.
