Is this John Byrne???

I've had this Original Art auction on my watchlist for about 6 months...Never pulled the trigger cause I wasn't 100% sure. Caps face looks definitely like Byrne. The seller says it's Joe Brozowski. Another thing that stopped me was the fact that it was an unused cover. I guess the seller wanted to really sell, cause he took less than half of what he was asking. Original asking price was about $1600:

BTW, the paste ups on the original Bristol Board are older than the actual art. Marvel must have had some old stock lying around. It definitely looks like a Byrne Cap. I have no idea who Joe Brozowski is...but if it's not Byrne, then it's a great homage to him.

I don't think its Byrne. If it is, somebody really inked heavily over it. The faces remind me of someone else, like early Alan Davis.

WOW!!! That does look like Byrne. Again, I never heard of the guy. What's that from??

Firestorm I think, he did a lot of that book and covers for Indiana Jones when Ditko was on that book.

I can spot a Byrne drawing from a mile away. Definately not him.

YUP!! I can tell Rubinstein's inking he had a really nice clean line a very accomplished artist himself...

Yeah Brozowski also went by the name "J.J. Birch"...why I don't know. His primary claim to fame is working on "Firestorm" if I recall...

Yep that was Bryne's Famous short run on Cap...those issues were amazing...
