Superman is all about him defending and protecting the entire planet...while I love the Truth and Justice part...the American Way part is antiquated and outdated.

Indeed, and Richard Donner fought tooth and nail to keep that sensibility. This new film just does not seem like Superman to me. i can't warm up to the outfit (Superman needs the bright blue and red traditional outfit) and it looks like they are going for a dark approach. I've had enough of the "dark approach".

Nah, look at it like this.

Superman is soooo powerful and super, he don't need to be fashionable

Remember how people used to compare Superman to Jesus ?

    It's the same thing

Supes SETS the standards --- he don't follow them

Yeah, I've been meaning to read Supes origin from the comics (I have Secret Origin, Birthright, and The Man of Steel all lined up).

Totally, Cavill's buffer than Jackman for Wolverine. That's not an easy feat to do.

I just noticed that too; I wonder...

Nice catch, that's pretty funny considering it's usually the other way around.
