Watched Ben Kingsley on a talk show last night discussing the role of The Mandarin, mentioning why he played the role with an American accent and talking about the absolute dedication to their cause and unswerving belief in their actions which villainous characters such as that possess.

Release is April 26th in UK. Will try to attend a midnight showing.

Brian Tyler's [IM3] score has been called a 'captivating companion score' and 'a true collector's piece.'

When Marvel & Shane Black approached me about scoring Iron Man 3, I was thrilled as a long-time fan of the series and super hero films in general. We all wanted this score to have a deeply thematic component with a strong melody. We felt that the story would lend itself best to go classic and use the orchestra as the main voice of the music, with horns & trumpets singing the new Iron Man theme in a strong way. I conducted the London Philharmonic at Abbey Road in order to give the score a sound that felt powerful enough to live up to its name. Shane Black was very supportive & collaborative in his vision for the film & the score, and Kevin Feige was also a kindred spirit in really reaching for something special. Both of them are incredible film score buffs, and we all spoke the same film music language, which made for an awesome experience. In the end we went for a score that echoed the classics of super hero film history with a few surprises like a wild 1960s style main title piece that was an absolute blast to record.

IRON MAN 3 is going to be awesome. But I'm not looking at anymore promotions for it. I feel there is too much story being leaked. I would like a few surprises before I buy my ticket!

I totally agree. I think in the drive to market IM3, DISNEY and MARVEL are walking that razor's edge of showing too much of a product. In some ways, I already feel like I've SEEN IRON MAN 3 and I want to go into it and be surprised by some really cool and kick@$$ stuff!!!

I don't think they've given away that much. A couple of trailers, a few super bowl ad(s), and some T.V. Spots are the norm for movies. Besides, I have a feeling there's a lot of kick-***** stuff we haven't seen yet! And hey, be lucky the '3 new trailers in April' report was false; otherwise we definitely would've seen the whole movie then.

I've been biting my tongue for a few days on this.

Marvel...some will love this.

For me, it just played into every little thing I don't like how they operate.

The film is currently sitting at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes. Not that I need that to see this film. But it's a good sign of what I was thinking from the trailers.

It also has an 8.8 on IMDb. That's even higher than what The Avengers have.
