This is another example of American studios becoming more aware of the importance of China as a foreign market

That's a lie.

A Chinese company, i.e State Government, "invested" in IM3/Marvel.

This edit was a dictate on their part. As was how the Mandarin was to be portrayed, i.e "not an Asian actor" and as said earlier "the mouthpiece" for the real brains, Guy Pearce.

Japan invested heavily in Hollywood for decades and was the number 2 market until last year. They never dictated policy like China does, and the studios just sell out.

Tony Stark's Armor is a Heartbreaker.

As you may know from the comics, Extremis was developed as a super-soldier serum that completely rewrites a person's genetic code giving them superhuman abilities. Director, Shane Black, spoke to SFX and said that Iron Man 3's Extremis will not be just a nanotech virus but will be a more subtle genetic upgrade, which makes it seem more real and even more threatening since someone with the virus could look just like anyone walking down the street. If you are bummed that it's not an adaptation straight from the comics, you will be happy to know that Shane and the team have preserved other origin elements, like the brain slot. He said quote "What we do keep from the comic is the idea that there's a slot in the brain that seems to have been dormant, but exists in human beings, almost as though it's waiting for human beings to find a way to fill it. It's been there forever." So, a little old and a little new. Marvel Chief, Kevin Feige, also dished that he has actually always wanted to incorporate Extremis from the start of the Iron Man franchise saying "we realized it was the next level of Iron Man...We felt it was tonally something we could use to build the movie off of. With each film, we thought, 'Should we do Extremis?' My gut was, it's a part three."

The new featurette is out by Disney/Marvel but it's only :56 long while the version we received is 5 minutes long.

I am still not allowed to post the stills. Disney will release the full version which should be today, according to what I am told.
