Great time to be an old DC fan

Archives, showcases and trades of old school DC material is going to be sold for liquidation prices by the truckloads. Stock up now for cheap before they go out of print.
DC Comics are throwing out a whole bunch of trade paperbacks and hardcovers from their warehouses. But they are letting retailers clean up at massive

Cool if you can stock up something you need but out of print doesn't mean it used to. If a decent number were produced most stuff can be found on Amazon or Ebay for cover or less.

Will retailers pass the savings along, though? If Half-Priced Books buys a big chunk of them, that would be great.

When Marvel and DC has discounted books in the past, it has offered the books at an additional discount. It might take them a couple of weeks to get the discounted stock from diamond and offer it online.

I tried to support the DC Archives, but their decision to switch to cheaper materials and printing processes while charging the same amount forced me to stop buying. Just compare Robin Archives Vol. 1 with Vol. 2. Unbelievable.

Is there an easy way to tell which are B&W and which are color?

Even if folks don't have a local comic shop, they will undoubtably filter over to the online sources like Amazon and eBay.

I tend to avoid the DC Showcase (and Marvel Essentials) reprint volumes because they're b&w.
But you do get a good number of issues per volume, I guess.
