Is Zatanna right for Batman's love interest or supporting cast?

I know Dini is married to a magician in the same vein as Zatanna, and he's written some pretty good stuff with Zatanna as a guest-star.

Do you think she's appropriate as a recurring character and/or love interest in the Batman comics (specifically Detective).

It's difficult to reconcile "Magic" with the more realistic mode that Batman tends to operate under.

I don't mind her being a recurring character and her and Bats do have a past history (Didn't he learn "escape" from Zatara? Plus she "mind-wiped" him). But I question a romantic relationship between the two...

No I personally don't like it.....I always see Zatanna as a young character.....not someone Bruce would go for....plus I never cared for Heroes dating each other.

when she was introduced into the JLA in the 70s she definitely wasn't too young.
ik like her. i could see batman diggin her. i think she would eventually give him the brush off
she seems along the lines of Talia so in that vain it makes sense

^^ I liked the whole spin on the romance Between Bats & WW on the Toon,.. However for the comics, does Zantanna really fit Bruces type of Chicks ? I mean given his recent love interests in the comics, CatWoman/Tala is Zantana bad enough for him ?

I hate when they slap on a romance story like this. It cheapens all the other ones. How many great loves does one guy have? (Unless he's a dog....)

I was bummmed that They set up the Batman/Catwoman relationship in "Hush"...then they just let it go.

Unless he's gonna keep her close so she doesn't mind wipe him again.....or is it all gonna be a hard earnt "lesson" for her orchestrated by the Bats?
If not then NO! prefered the Batman/Wonder Woman flirting...

I liked the Batman: TAS story where Bruce Wayne/John Smith learns the art of escape from Zatara. It just seems that there would be an attraction between Bruce/John and Zatanna. I never got the impression that Bruce would return Z's infatuation. I can't see Batman tied to anybody. Catwoman, Talia, Diana. He pretty much told Wonder Woman why they would never work "together".

I can see Zatanna being a part of the Batman family universe, but not as a romantic interest. Where could it go? Batman would end up making a deal with a devil to erase the whole thing and reboot his whole career. But who would he turn to? Jason Blood - The Demon?
