^I'm not seeing any abundance, but I don't begrudge you liking what you like.

DC has totally screwed the character of Tim Drake. All to appease Grant Morrison and his questionable creation, Damien Wayne. Sigh.

I can't wait until the next reboot where they throw all the current continuity out the window. You know it'll be here. It's only a few years down the road.

RE: the Wondergirl "Slap-dash": that's just classic Bob Haney. The man did not let things like logic or reason stand in the way of his creativity. His issue of "Brave and Bold" where the criminals in the story actually come to life and menace himself and Jim Aparo is still one of my favorites.

Not from my personal stand-point as far as what I'm still buying....

Batman: Pretty much the same as pre-DCnU, nothing's really changed other than the Red Robin thing and cramming decades worth of stories into a 5-10 year timeline

Green Lantern: Again, status quo as pre-DCnU...Apparently all of the Sinestro War, Blackest Night, Rainbow Lanterns stuff still stands

All-Star Western: The focus has shifted to Gotham City but it's still the same Jonah Hex that Palmiotti and Gray were writing pre-DCnU

Aquaman: And yet again, this could very well have been the Aquaman book we got right after Brightest Day if Flashpoint/The New 52 never existed.

So, as far as those books are concerned the whole reboot was unnecessary

Now, the other two books I'm still reading are Wonder Woman and Justice League. Wonder Woman is rebooted as far as the Olympian gods are concerned
but quite frankly Wonder Woman has had an identity crisis the last several years anyway, even as recently as JMS' horrible year-long atory arc. So I'm not
sure it makes that much of a diffference.

Justice League...not sure why I'm still reading this...I don't care for the new origin, I don't like for the characterizations, I don't like Cyborg as a founding
member, I don't care for the pacing of the book...So this one for me is really a big disaster. This doesn't feel like *MY* JLA...

Now on the flip side, there were a lot of other DC books I was buying pre-DCnU that I refuse to buy now because quite frankly they suck...I can't even go near
the Superman Family of books (besides the AWESOME Superman Family Adventures ) because they are now *Kryptonite* to me....

As a long-time DC reader and fan for over 40 years I find it sad that I'm only buying 7 DC titles a month....

Anthony, I think you can extend that thought to "The New 52 doesn't feel like My DCU. And, I would have to agree.DC isn't making comics for the long-time reader anymore. The company is trying to capture a new audience at the expense of US. If we want to go along, they'll be more than happy to sell us their comics, but they obviously think drawing new readers is more important. The publishers subtly hinted at it when the announcement was made, but they hedged their bets and/or didn't really know how much they wanted to throw out at the relaunch. They should have just totally started over.

Clearly, the Tim- Drake-was-never-Robin idea was a decision made on the fly when everyone began questioning Batman's timeline. I'm sure a lot of the other stuff has been too. The Superman they're printing isn't Superman to me. The only interesting issue of JLA to me was the one that focused on Steve Trevor. I am enjoying the Johns/Frank Shazam back-up, but it's not Captain Marvel. It's something else. Earth2 could end up being interesting, but it's moving at such a snail's pace that I don't really care. I do like Wonder Woman and Aquaman. I'm frustrated with Green Lantern at this point, but maybe after the crossover I'll like whatever change of pace Johns gives. I have to say Fernando Pasarin is really doing some great art work in Green Lantern Corps.

I really enjoyed Snyder's work pre-DCnU on Batman, but the 11-issue story just took too long to tell and relied too much on the super-natural for my taste. Snyder and DC missed the boat by not retconning the resurrection of Jason Todd into this story by making him a Talon that awoke too soon. There also could have been a tie to the Lazarus Pit with the Talons to use Batman lore and not introduce more hocus pocus to what is supposed to be DC's most grounded and realistic character.

I tried to read the first to issues of Teen Titans, but I just didn't care enough to keep going. I liked Flash initially, but the last several months it's lost me. Why in the world do you bring Barry Allen back, but then plot a story to ditch his identity as Barry Allen. Just stupid.

At least this is a good month for Archives, a Flash volume came out last week and a Green Lantern one is due at the end of the month.

Actually Tim Drake was Robin in the New 52. I have several comics that state very clearly that he's a former Robin. Even in a recent issue of Batman and Robin where Damian has called all the former Robins together and tells them he's the best Robin and he's going to beat each one of them in whatever they happen to be best at, Tim was there along with Dick and Jason. I just don't care for the way they've handled him. Damian I love. He's fantastic.

As for JLA, I share everyone's feelings on it. It's not my JLA either. They completely missed the boat on this.

^But now, they are changing that. According to Lobdell, Tim was never Robin, just Red Robin. Yum.

^^^ So they are changing something already established in the NuDCU? Lee, Didio and Johns have no clue what they are doing.

^Yes. In a new universe where everyone is trying their hardest to make everyone younger, they saddle Batman with an actual son?

And that's the least of it. I have never liked the Damian character, and I can't accept him as Robin.

Love Damian, especially when he was working with Grayson and he was basically the bad cop in the duo

I really enjoyed the novelty of having a lighter character like Dick as Batman, and the grim Robin. Currently, I'm finding the Bruce and Daman matchup just doesn't have the same spark. What I like about Damian is that he's an evolving character in addition to being one that challenges the other members of the Bat Family. He really is an interesting metaphor for many kids today... Mom and Dad are divorced, they don't get along, he's trying his best to try and connect with his formerly absentee father but it's like they don't speak the same language nor do they have the proper tools to express their feelings. Throw in the wishfulfilment aspect that he's the best ninja in the world. That brings some interesting conflicts and sibling rivalries if you look at the other Robin's in the context of stepbrothers who get along better with Dad since they grew up with him.
