    Countdown...14 issues left

Yes.....admittedly I'm still reading this crap. Anyone else? 14 issues left and I still have no clue what this freakin' book is about. Definitely nowhere near DC's previous weekly effort, "52". And even that wasn't perfect but it ended up on a lot of nice points. Can't say the same for this one. The only saving grace is the villain origins in the back of the book. Even the covers suck....they should have got one consistent artist (like "52"'s JG Jones).
This book IMO is much to do about nothing....

The went with a supporting cast of characters (Jason Todd, Donna Troy, Kyle Rayner, Holly Robinson, Harley Quinn [non-costumed] and a slew of Monitors) who just aren't doing it for me. The Pied Piper/Trickster storyline was interesting but I'm not happy with the result at this point. At least "52" made interesting characters out of a lot of second stringers (Animal Man, Ralph Dibny, The Question, Black Adam, Steel, Adam Strange). With this book, I could care less what happens to them.

Paul Dini is supposed to be overseeing all of this, through other scripters. All I gotta say is, I expected more from Mr. Dini. A lot more.

The Direction of Kyle Rayner has really upset me as late.... After reading the Sinestro's Corps,.. Man does this guy really need yet another costume change ? He's had like 5 now...., & I liked him as Ion too..., there was no point in making the new guy Ion. Very dissapointing.

Yeah it's sorta like he's the black sheep of the GL Corps now that Hal and the big guns are back....poor Kyle, he carried the book for years while Hal was out running around in his Spectre sheet and this is the respect he gets?

I was out after about three or four issues.

I've been amassing digital versions of them to read when it's over, but I don't think I'm going to bother.

I was really into 52, and hoping that the next weekly series will be better than countdown.

Some interesting speculation going on around that one... Busiek and Bagley have been attached. Interesting to note which other DC writers seem to clearing their schedules lately... Gail Simone seems to be down to one book, and other than Fables, Bill Willingham appears to be handing over his books to Matthew Sturges. Wondering if they are onboard the next one?
