Black Adam Miniseries

So what is the verdict as we come on the last issue?

I have become a big fan of Black Adam after Geoff Johns and co turned him into such a complex character in the pages of JSA and 52.

How does the mini hold up now that someone else is writing Black Adam?

I think the artwork by Doug Mahnke is fantastic, and I didn't realize that Christian Alamy was inking him.

Is this worth picking up?

It is a good mini...I hope DC dont screw up the good story by then ruining it with another cross over epic. In my opinion Black Adam was the only character from the Countdown and 52 to come out better.

I think Black Adam has been waaayy overexposed the last few years...I have no interest in following his exploits right now. In fact, I think the whole Marvel Family is uninteresting these days in the DCU. Looking forward to the new Shazam book from the Johnny DC line, though.

It will be interesting to see where DC wants to eventually go with the Marvel family given the three threads of storylines Mary, Freddy/Billy, and Black Adam have been going in the past year.

Personally I would like to see Gail Simone given a shot at a Shazam ongoing given her ability to balance a certain degree of fun whimsy into the mix with her books (Nazis versus Apes in Wonder Woman!).

Well i've read the last issue now and I like the downer ending ...means there is more to the story to come...

I'm definitely looking forward to what's coming after the ending after what Faust was really up to was revealed.

I'm also looking forward to seeing what's going to happen in Countdown with Adam's powers. It looks like Mary's lost them - could they be heading back home?
