Audio from Mark Waid's Superman panel at Comic-Con

    link to Superman panel audio

The link takes a little time to load or it did for me.

Found this audio on bleedingcool.com from the panel with Mark Waid and author Larry Tye, who wrote a recently published biography on Superman.

If you are a Superman fan, I can't imagine you not enjoying this. Waid kind of dominates the panel he was supposed to moderate, but there's a lot of fun info on there. A lot of it you may have heard or read before, but Waid shines a bit of a different light on how Siegle/Shuster profited off Superman in the '40s.

The panel made me want to buy Tye's book. Don't let the length of the panel deter you, it flew by for me. I wanted to hear more.

That's cool. I'll definitely buy Tye's bio on Supes.

I miss Waid at DC. He totally gets it. He fully understands the industry both as a publihser and a fan. If he were in charge instead of Didio, Johns and Lee you can bet the books wouldn't have gotten this reboot 52 nonsense.
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

If anyone here believes in psychokinesis, please raise my hand.

I'm just getting into Tye's book--his interviews on NPR drew me to it, & I enjoy cultural studies.
