Recently it was announced that Marvel would be coming out with a new set for the same price as the original. According to recent news, the new set will be slated to hit retail shelves in spring of 2013 and will feature a redesigned briefcase with "even more content and features that were first advertised."

I went ahead and pre-ordered (using the amazon banner you guys provided) anyway; shouldn't hurt.

Yeah, it's a "requel" (reboot that feels like a sequel, much like Ghost Rider: SOV and X-Men: FC).

It was announced that the box set, with redesigned case, will be available on April 2, 2013. In addition, the box set will include a featurette on the upcoming Phase Two movies, showing footage and concept art, as well as previously unreleased deleted scenes from all of the Phase One films.

If they can't use the briefcase for the collection, how about giving us a really snazzy reproduction of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier with places for all the cool stuff inside...?

I never got that from the Norton flick. They showed the origin during the credits, and went from there.
