From what other folks have posted here, Mr. Rude is known to live up to his own name. It seems like the now more corporate-minded comic companies are reluctant to employ folks known to create controversy and friction, or are highly opinonated. Better to hire more agreeable types who will stay in line. Possibly why folks like Rude, Byrne and perhaps even Alex Ross aren't getting work from the big two these days.DC is really missing out. This would be better than the New 52 but DC just doesn't get it.
Comic companies used to tolerate such attitudes because the work was worth it. With the whole "cog in the wheel" mentality they have now, those days seem to be over.

I loved his World's Finest mini-series, written by Dave Gibbons. It's kind of forgotten now, but My God that thing was beautiful. And a nice story too.
