Oh that's nice! I saw plenty of the Whitman 2 or 3 packs when I was a kid, but I never saw this. In a nicely illustrated box and everything. Wonder how much it retailed for.

I would have loved this as a kid. I wonder what it sold for initially? Two or thee bucks?

Is this the set of comics you could order form the Sears catalog? I had a friend who got those every year. I always had most of the comics I'd want through the year, so it did me no good.

I can't remember if it came in a nice box with cool graphics like this. Of course, that was the mid-80s by the time I encountered those.

I loved getting comics like this when I was a kid....I use to try and peek and see what was inside and if I saw good ones I'd buy it if i saw junk I'd pass...........

Like the illustration on the cover. I remember getting comic packs from a Aunt who worked at a drug store growing up. It didnt have illustrations like that though. I think it might have been originally unsold copies put together at a discounted price. I got alot of comics that way. Usually it would have more than just Marvel comics in them though.
