I saw this awesome looking INFERNAL MAN-THING comic on the shelf today with a fantastic cover by Art Adams on the left, then I opened it to discover that...that...abhorrent thing on the right.



Why, oh why do they let these artists today do this stuff?! And HOW is that not false advertising the content of the book? Using a great cover to sell this garbage.
The art I see on the outside is the art I wanna see on the inside. The only good thing about the entire issue was a classic 70's Man-Thing reprint inside, which looked 100% better than the rest of the book.

Actually, I shouldn't say tho only good thing about the book is the reprint. I'm sure Gerber's story is good, but comics is a visual medium. If the art is crap I just can't get into it no matter how good the story.

I normally like Nowlan, but I don't think anything would fear that Man-Thing, just pity him. And offer him the number of a good chiropracter.

Could have been he was on a tight schedule or "just not into it". If Art Adams did the interiors they would have to give him ALOT of leway for when its finished. Hes not known for finishing on schedule.

It looks o.k. to me really, theres probably a few that I can think of thats available and would have fit this better.
