Guardians of the Galaxy film in 2014

Marvel made sooo much profit from the Avengers that they could afford to make quite a few movies and then some.

Just want to say, I'm not against a Guardians of the Galaxy film, although I too would rather see Vance Astro, Yondu, Charlie 27, Starhawk, and Martinex. It ought to be fun and more power to Marvel for being able to get its financing OK'd.

August, Marvel Studios hired Chris McCoy to rewrite the script and entered into talks with James Gunn to direct. The film is scheduled to be released on August 1, 2014.

I actually think this is going to be one of the lamest movies Marvel will put out if they are not going to use the original Guardian Line-Up Characters.

I don't know anything about the story/plot...but...I just don't like any those secondary characters at all.

I'm not curious, I'm not interested, all I feel is, "MEH...I'll wait for this to come on HBO."

Hope they change their minds.

P.S. That ain't Starlord and Drax in my opinion.

To run with WannabeMego's concern, I'd favor the Byrne/Claremont Star-Lord outfit, myself. But that's just me.

Still, if this takes off, expect a flood of Rocket Raccoon love.

Awesome that Thanos will be appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy as well as Avengers 2.

In February 2013 Chris Pratt (Parks and Rec., Zero Dark Thirty) was cast as Star-Lord. Filming will begin in June 2013, at Shepperton Studios in the UK.
