What if Arnold Schwarzenegger would have been cast as The Hulk in the 70's?

Okay this is NOT a Hate Lou Ferrigno thread. I always wanted to know what if Arnie would have been Cast as the Green Goliath. always wanted to see something like it...sooooooo I began playing with an image and I kinda dig it.

Sure Lou was bigger at 6'5 but Arnold at 6'2 was no slouch either. I'm sure had he been cast the shows dynamics would have changed a lot.....

anyway wanted to share and have a laugh

    Steve.

and for fun I made him into the grey Hulk too......

wow - cool. he looks more like later hulk. i think lou embodied the early look of hulk (though the show had little to do with the comic)

Ahnuld was supposed to be Thor, the very first time the rights were sold in the late 80's.

At the time, I thought it wouldn't work. But if a guy like Milius or Boorman was involved, it could have been a real viking saga.

He would have made a great Odin in the current one, IMO.

            Neat!

He really looks the part.... but it'd be tough explaining why Banner had an Austrian accent when he changed.

does the accent come across in growls and roars?

IIRC, one of the reasons he passed was because it had no lines.

The Way Arnie harrassed Ferigno during Pumping Iron was Brutal .... Lou picked for the Hulk was sorta Payback ...., If at all Arnie was even considering the Role.

Had Arnold been chosen for the Hulk, he would have been type cast as a television actor and would have likely missed out out on movie roles as Ferrigno was. Times were different back then too. People were less liberal in their views of an actor's ability to branch into film in the 70's and early 80's. Plenty of actors who were big on television tried it with little success back then.
