    Superman vs. The Elite (animated)

I'm not going into a lot of detail because I don't know how many of you have already seen the movie or have read the source material. The story and tone is great but I really could not get into the animation style. Supes has a huge chin. In the course of the story questions about Superman's beliefs were asked that reflect a lot of modern comics fan's thoughts. I've seen lively debates on the topic! Overall I think it's worth watching. Oh, I also have to state that this is the deepest darkest Superman title that has been animated imo, it's PG13.

I'm not going to bother with this. I don't like my superheroes stories dark.

This is probably the antithesis of "dark and gritty", I hate that as well but this movie is Supes at his best.

I was about 10 minutes in ...., Then I fell asleep.
Not because of the movie ...., I just do this, when I watch stuff at a certain time.

The Intro, had a ton of classic Superman Animated Pictures from years past. It was heavy on the Super Friends Superman images ...., Sorta neat.

Lois is Smok'in Hot for a Flipp'in Toon.

Superman in Kent's Disguise, is drawn really, really Big. I dunno how anyone can't tell thats not Superman.

The Atomic Skull Showed up ..., Supes was beating him arund abit... Don't care for the Purple on Skull ..., I liked the Green from the JLU Toon Much better.

Thats all I got thus far ....
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

I liked it a lot, much like the story it was adapted from. The villains are dark, but that makes what Superman is and stands for shine so much brighter. Great story and action, but I didn't care for the animation style, other than as BK mentioned, Lois.

Watched the blu-ray today and enjoyed it. Yes it was dark but the end showed what Superman at his core.

I agree with most of the members. It showed why Superman is right in not crossing the line. It was a long time to wait till the awesome ending.

i just watched it. not crazy about the animation but the story is solid, definately shows what Supes is all about. it is rather violent too, which io liked. it's nice to get movies that are not kiddied down.

I saw this in Target and passed. I hate this conceptual animation. It hurts what otherwise could have been a very good story to watch. Artists and studios tend to over-think rendering styles.

I think what hamstrings the DC stuff is that they use such CHEAP animation. So when they try for more detailed or stylized designs they suffer because the action can't keep up. I think that's why Bruce Timm is so popular with the fans; his designs and overall aesthetic are really stripped down, so they don't fight the actual animation.

I got past the style because the story was so strong.
