A Dr. Strange movie with Depp as Strange and Gullermo Del Toro as the director would be awesome.

Del Toro was attached for awhile, but like everything with him, it's a fantasy he never gets around to.

I don't see why Strange has to be a white guy, and considering how Marvel is now in bed with the ChiComs for financing, wouldn't be surprised if he ends up being played by someone like Daniel Dae Kim. or Wong is going to be pushed to a level of cinematic importance we never seen before in a Strange book.

And it won't be Depp. Marvel is notoriously cheap.

Cumberbatch, IMO, seems to be the guy they want. He'll have good exposure with Trek II, but not a massive check in place, yet.
