I love these. I had seen something about the first series on the Fantagraphics blog, and then tried to find them awhile later online and could not bring anything up with my searches. I guess I was spelling "Syroco" incorrectly. Looks like Entertainment Earth has them all though.

I think they should have used a early Kirby Thing drawing for the Thing tin, possibly from the cover of FF 12.

I have the entire series so far, ten in all. They're releasing them in sub-sets of five.

1st set were blue tins: Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, Daredevil, Dr. Strange
2nd set were FF tins: Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Girl, Torch, Thing, Dr. Doom
3rd set will be green tins: Thor, Sub-Mariner, Captain America so far...don't know who the other two will be.

The things are incredible...they're some of my favorite Marvel pieces. Only complaint is the bases, the color and amount of blackwash used on them varies a lot from one to the next. I repainted all of them so far so they all match.

They're not discontinued, but they are pretty limited. They only make 650 of each character.

$40 is actually a deal...they're $50 new. Forgot to mention, they also come with a vintage style pinback button and character booklet inside the tin.
